Education Programs

The Mahaska County Conservation Board's mission includes creating an awareness of our environment, encourage a state of harmony between people and their natural communities...and provide services for the environmental education and enjoyment of citizens of Mahaska County.

Mahaska County Conservation provides year-round environmental education programs through field trips at our county sites, outreach programs, public programs, and summer camps. The Mahaska County Conservation Environmental Education county-wide program is headquartered in the conservation center at the Russell Wildlife Area.
