White Oak Conservation Area
A 20 acre man-made lake is the focal point of this area located 3 miles south of Rose Hill at 2647 Ventura Ave., Cedar, Iowa. The lake has been stocked with bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill. It is equipped with a boat ramp, dock and fishing jetty. A nature trail with self-guided interpretive markers has been developed to highlight the natural history of the area and permit easy access to the shoreline. Two picnic shelters, grills, playground equipment and restroom facilities make White Oak a local favorite for family picnics, reunions and other group events. During the winter season, White Oak is a popular destination for ice fishing and cross country skiing enthusiasts.
